The number of over-the-counter medications at the drugstore continues to increase, despite adverse health effects and reactions. Commercials on television remind us to take antacids, decongestants, diarrhea medication, anti-depressants and other prescription drugs: "But remember, if you experience nausea, vomiting, headache, bleeding, bruising, sudden blindness or panic attacks..." Are you listening? Does this seem acceptable?
The reason that these ill effects take place is simple. The human body has the ability to reject anything that it finds potentially harmful. The adverse effects may not be apparent for months or years, and the person taking the medication may assume that their health is improving, but it is usually only a matter of time until something breaks down. |

Hypnosis is used to access inner feelings, which may be overwhelmingly strong at times. During hypnosis one is always awake, even though it appears as if they're asleep. Just the opposite of sleep is occurring, however, as the person is relaxed but hyper-focused on the words of the Hypnotist. Engrossed in every word, concentrating on the Hypnotist, the person hears all other voices and sounds peripherally. As if in a guided daydream, the person follows the Hypnotist's instructions and can trace those unpleasant feelings back to the times when they occurred. |
