Autumn is the time of year when skin becomes drier as the humidity decreases. Extra care should be taken to remove dry skin and thoroughly moisturize.
Homemade Skin Mask
Use one organic Egg White. You may have some left over, which can be refrigerated and used within 48 hours.
Apply by hand, or use a clean soft painting brush or cosmetic brush to apply if desired. Egg Whites are packed with selenium and protein, so they nourish the skin. They also dry into a tightening mask which is very good for fine lines and wrinkles.
- Whisk Egg White until foamy. Pull hair back and apply to entire face and neck. You can either apply the Egg White alone, or add a few drops of Lemon Juice for oily skin. If the skin is very dry, add a drop or two of Olive Oil, or use the entire Egg (white and yolk).
- Leave on for up to one hour, or until dry. Gently wash the face with a washcloth until mask is completely removed. Dried skin will be removed along with the mask.
- Wash with a gentle cleanser, then splash face with cool water. Leave face wet and moisturize with a small amount of either Almond, Apricot Seed, or Sesame Oil. Let it stay on the face for a few moments, then gently pat dry with a clean towel.
- This treatment may be done for a few days in a row, then once per week will keep the face looking its best.
